Cowboy Concurrent is a Dual Enrollment program offered for high school students taking English 1113 and 1213 for college credit. Open to students across the state of Oklahoma, the program is primarily designed with students in rural and remote areas of Oklahoma in mind. This program launched in Summer 2020 and is part of a larger dual enrollment initiative being offered for many General Education courses across the College of Arts and Sciences. All Cowboy Concurrent FYC courses are fully online and fully asynchronous to accommodate high school students, particularly those with limited internet access, and our instructors teach the courses withly flexible, weekly goals so that students can both stay on track and complete weekly assignments at their own pace and in accordance with their own schedules.
We staff all FYC courses in Cowboy Concurrent with a small group of dedicated instructors who specialize in these courses and are familiar with the needs of the students who take them. We do this in order to give students the best possible chance of success. For more information about our Cowboy Concurrent offerings, please contact the Assistant Director of Cowboy Concurrent, Grant Currier, Associate Director of Composition, Dr. Stephanie Jones, or Director of FYC, Dr. Joshua Daniel.
