Teaching Awards

The OSU English Department places great importance on the quality of teaching at all levels.  Prizes are given annually to those graduate students who excel as teachers of writing and make significant contributions to the development of writing programs. Candidates provide to the selection committee a teaching portfolio containing a statement of teaching philosophy, student evaluations, sample assignments, and letters of reference from others who have seen them teach.
